Character Knowledge Chart
Character Knowledge
All characters have some knowledge and information, but how much in various areas do they have? Of course, this information isn't permanent or set in stone -- this is a for fun way to take a look at what your characters knows... and doesn't.
This info is blatantly ripped from Shadowrun Knowledge Character Creation available at http://gutwrenchingrpg.org/heyman/info/character-creation/knowledge-skills/.
Proficiency Level
A rough guess to a character's ability in that particular skill.
None/Nil Ø -- No knowledge whatsoever. Complete novice. Still learning basic information.
Familiar ☆ -- Aware that it exists and may know the basics, but not especially proficient. This is "below average" of the ones that know this content.
Knowledgeable ☆☆ -- Knows basic knowledge proficiently well. This is "average" among people who know this content.
Proficient ☆☆☆ -- Mastered basic knowledge and has a strong handle on advanced concepts and ideas. This is "above average" and the point when a person identifies themselves for this knowledge -- an athlete, a librarian, a chef, etc.
Expert ☆☆☆☆ -- Mastered advanced skills and has developed unique knowledge in specialized areas. They are known within their particular field as among the best.
So, using the above example, Rarity would at least be a ☆☆☆ if not a ☆☆☆☆ in "Area Knowledge - Fashion and Beauty" but would be a ☆ in Agriculture.
