What is Yg'baladoth?

Yg'baladoth is a (relatively) young eldritch abomination from beyond the limit of the stars (something she refers to as "The Brink"). Unlike most eldritch horrors, she is not filled with the propensity for violence and wanton destruction. Rather she is curious (or perhaps compelled) to understand order. She has made it her personal mission to understand what order is and why in the vast tumult of random particles flying everywhere that an ordered sequence and structures of life came to be.

A few other notes about Yg'baladoth so far (to be edited later):

Her sphere of existence is both of the mind and of noise and light -- or more specifically amplitude and amperage. As such, her natural disposition is to cause wild and erratic fluctuation in noise and wild spikes of all frequencies. At her full power talking with her around would be like chatting into a whirlpool of radio frequencies that follows no logical sequence. She also uses sound as a means of attacking transgressors or defending herself, creating vast pockets of low to high amperage to create what can only be described as sound grenades. Worse yet, completely unregulated these noises have a tendency to break a person's psyche if not tear them apart from the inside out. This is her natural state and would be pretty shitty for everybody if she didn't know how to control it.

However, she does.

As she has a desire to understand order, Yg'baladoth's real personal power--and what makes her a special snowflake--is her ability to control and restrain her (un)natural tendencies. Just about everything about her is subdued and regulated, making her one of the most normal--in human standards at least--though highly attuned individuals will notice that sound still seems to distort around her. This distortion of sound is also why her voice crackles and fluctuates in pitch and tone.

To that effect, she can:
1) Control and manipulate sound -- while widescale fluctuations in noise is really easy (making things inaudible, muting noise to nothing) she's also able to "catch" specific sounds and repeat them like a play-recorder. Except one that doesn't need tape.
2) She can seek out and discover the natural frequency of something and have her voice be heard by resonating them off of a person's own molecules.
3) She can use sound offensively as a weapon. Like I said, sound grenades. At worse, she could probably nuke a large city with a high-enough concentration of amperage not unlike a small-scale nuclear blast... just without the radiation (though the stones may be perpetually uttering the last cries of the poor souls that were caught in the blast... hey, eldritch monsters aren't pretty).

The other thing to note is that her "haven" is a sphere of protective psychic energy. It is a strange sort of reality-altering space that she carries with her at all times. Once inside, the world mirrors and reflects the psyche of those that inhabited it. For Yg'baladoth, it would reflect either the chaotic landscape of the Fringe or, if she is feeling especially creative, display sound visually. Sometimes she finds these beautiful, and can keep them in crystalline form.

The haven is also the place where Yg'baladoth is both the most powerful, as her mind is the sword with which she can destroy and eviscerate others. And also the most imperil, as being struck down inside her haven would destroy her mind utterly. Mostly she allows people the opportunity to visit when she is curious what goes on inside their heads.

More to be added as I think of it o/
